The Fish

As we are sailing my dad and I are on the fishing lines throwing out our favorite lures, my dads is the cedar plug, and mine is the mexican flag. While we are sailing after about twenty minutes the lines start to run. So my dad and I are sprinting to the lines and are grabbing them and doing three sharp jabs to hopefully set the hook in the rough part of the jaw. The next thing we do is pull back on the rod and then pushing forward to get the slack out of the line. While we are reeling in the lines the fish start jumping out of the water and are trying to break lose. As they get closer and closer it they start to glow with neon colors. So my dad get's the gaff and hook it in behind it's head. The fish are Dorado. So my dad kills the fish and we weigh them, They are nine and fifteen pounds. Later on that night we eat them and they are the best tasting fish I have ever tasted. We cook them by breading them and dipping them in some tarter sauce even though they didn't need it.

The next fish we catch are skipjack tuna. They are not very tasty by them self or anyway we have tried them but maybe some people like them. We caught seven skipjack. The next fish we caught was a pacific needle nose. We just threw it back, we felt bad because we caught it by it's tail. The next fish we caught we were told it is very good from are good friends on the boat Pelagic. It was a sierra . The sierra was very cool looking it looked like a over sized trout and had teeth like razors. The most recent fish I caught was another Dorado. I really liked catching the dorado because they taste very good and put up a fight the whole way. I hope we catch more dorado and find more fish.
